St. James UMC – Blessed to be a Blessing
There are many basic items that we can give that are huge blessings to others.  Things that we may toss out that others do without.  Let’s respond to our call to God and G.O.D.  – Giving, Outreach and Discipleship.  February Blessings:  Toiletries. Please place travel size toiletries in the container on the Outreach table starting February 10th.  Then come join us when we go out to bless those in need during future Outreach service events.
Roswell Nursing Home, Sunday, February 4th 3pm-4pm 1109 Green St, Roswell GA
SJUMC fellowship with the residents of the Roswell Nursing Home through praise, worship and song. 
United Methodist Children’s Home February 17th 12pm-4pm 1967 Lakeside Parkway, Building 400, Tucker, GA 
Come serve at The Children’s Home for their first flea market sale in Tucker.  Servants are needed for everything from price callers to loading cars to assisting on the sales floor. Teens 14 and older are welcome. Proceeds from the sale will help UMCH reach more children and families in need across North Georgia. The flea market includes an array of items on sale including furniture, electronics, clothing, art, collectibles, jewelry, toys, books, glassware, flatware, small appliances, decorative items, sporting goods, and many other objects. For more information, please contact outreach@stjamesumc.org

Family Promise Host Week February 25th-March 3rd/Dinner & Fellowship – Wednesday, February28th 5:30pm-8pm Alpharetta Presbyterian Church (APC)
APC serves as a shelter for families with children who are experiencing homelessness.  St. James serves at APC to help the families with move-in, move-out, providing dinner and fellowship.  We also need 1-2 persons to stay overnight-beds are provided.  Contact us at outreach@stjamesumc.org for more information or for the link to sign up for the Move In/Out assistance.

St. James UMC Homestretch Apartment Needs
HomeStretch guides working homeless families with minor children toward stability by providing LifeSkills education, mentoring and supportive housing.  St. James provides a Homestretch apartment. We need furniture and other household essentials and decorations for the apartment to prepare the apartment for the next resident. Please contact outreach@stjamesumc.org if you have items to donate.
Outreach is sharing the love and grace that Jesus has extended to you to others in need. It is the call of every Christian… we are all called to show people that Jesus is alive.
