Atlanta Street Picnic Saturday, August 19th 10am – 2pm.
We will meet at church and travel by carpool to the Greyhound bus station parking lot.
This month we will partner with the organization Service Without Walls http://www.servicewithoutwalls.org and bless those in need in Atlanta with food, toiletries, prayer and fellowship.

Habitat for Humanity First Nail Saturday, August 26th 9am – 2pm (4 slots)
St. James UMC will assist with the build of a home for a deserving family in need from first nail to dedication.

St. James UMC Ministry Extravaganza Sunday, Sept 17th After 8am & 11am svc
Need at least one volunteer from each service to assist with at the Outreach table for the churchwide Ministry Extravaganza. We will share with our congregation what a blessing it is to be blessing to others in need.

Homestretch Mentoring Program for the Men of St. James UMC Work with young boys in the Homestretch transitional housing program. The ages of approximately 10 boys range from middle school to high school (10-18);. They do not have any specific guidelines other than strong African American males to encourage, inspire and work with these young men. Contact outreach@stjamesumc.org for more information.
Atlanta Mission Life Skills Mentoring Program for Men and Wome nAtlanta Mission
is a Christian ministry serving local homeless men, women, and children. They have a new initiative to help improve the lives of those they serve during and long after their stay at Atlanta Mission by teaching life skills. They men and women from St. James that can teach life skills in areas that would be beneficial to the residents.
Examples might include: Managing Interpersonal Relationships, Financial Management,
Conflict Resolution, Change Management, Staying Positive Regardless of your Situation.
Currently this would require a once weekly commitment, preferably on a week-day,
